GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION
What information do we hold and why?
- The Moone School of Ballet takes details of the student and parent/carer at the time of registration
- The student's date of birth is taken to identify the correct class.
- The parent/carer's email address and phone number is taken for necessary correspondence.
- We ask to be notified of any medical conditions to ensure there is nothing in our general class practice that would physically or mentally put your child at risk.
- We also collect your postcode for market research purposes.
Who can access this Data?
- The information is kept and stored by Moone School of Ballet's Data Protection Officer (School Principal Nicholette Moone) in an encrypted personal database accessible only by the officer.
- Any paper forms are filed onto the database and then shredded.
- Paper registers are kept and taken at each class by the ballet teacher. Student's details include the student's full name, date of birth and an emergency contact number.
- Pupil's name and date of birth are forwarded onto the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) for use when entering candidates for examination.
If I leave the school what happens to my data?
- When a pupil leaves the school the Data Protection Officer will delete the student/carer’s details from the database and you will no longer be contacted.
Use of Cookies
- This website uses cookies to better the users experience while visiting the website. Cookies are small files saved to the user’s computers hard drive that track, save and store information about the user’s interactions and usage of the website. This allows the website, through its server to provide the users with a tailored experience within this website.

Please note that at our Vida Studios branch (2 Fulham High Street, SW6 3LQ) there are 2 CCTV cameras that record in the studio. The recordings are for safety and security purposes. The images are stored on the ‘Netgear’ servers. Jenny Thomson, the owner of the studio, is the only person with access to the recordings and it is password protected. The recordings are stored for 1 month only.
